SCALLION ART

These wild onions are pretty common hereabouts, and are a nuisance plant.  Like many other small things I have used the macro lens for, these exhibit much more beauty than the casual observer probably notices.  The first picture shows  the  full frame.    The second picture shows how the very narrow depth of field affects the focus plane, showing a select area in focus.  The third image gives scale to the blossom.  The nail-like object is a common straight pin.
