The Carolina Wren is a bright, cleanly marked little bird who appears at times to be curious as a cat.  They flit around nervously and are hard to catch in a decent pose, so when they stop at a perch for a while, the shutter gets to clicking;-)  Below are a couple of my favorites so far.

This Northern Mockingbird was posed on top of the Magnolia tree in the early morning sunshine.

We had some early morning fog the last couple of mornings and the effect on the dandelions was eye-catching.  The first one shows the fog droplets as little bright beads which, to me, gives a feeling of Christmas decoration.

I really enjoy playing with the macro lens, and among the more interesting small creatures to shoot is the Praying Mantis.  These guys are easy to shoot as long as you can get down to their level.

We had a beautiful Fall season here in North Carolina but now there aren't many colors left to shoot.  I spotted this Sweet Gum leaf and it obligingly posed for a backlit portrait.

Probably my favorite subject is Grand daughter Emi.  She doesn't sit still too long either, and to compound matters, has learned to 'pose' for pictures if she knows the camera is pointed her way.  I had the 500mm lens out on the tripod watching for birds when I thought I would catch her being funny.  She made several funny faces, but in between, I got this shot.
